1. Think Scroll, Not Click

When it comes to web layout, business owners love carousels, sliders, and accordions. These website features allow them to get more on the page, without making the page too long.

Carousels and sliders work great for the first slide. People pay plenty of attention to that first image, and they often click on it. Anything that follows is largely ignored.

The same is true of tabs and accordions. The problem is that most of your visitors merely scan your content. Their gaze bounces around the page, looking for what they want.

If they have to click, chances are they’re not going to. Instead, think about letting them scroll on.

If someone doesn’t see what they’re looking for, they’ll continue scrolling to see if it’s further down the page. This is much more effective than a slider, which asks them to click through to find what they want.
